Big lines, towering crags, and sweet singletrack – this is the essence of the Alta Bar, a homegrown solution to conventional energy snacks. After fine-tuning their recipes, the gang behind the Alta Bar hired me to create the last key element of their product before hitting production: package design.
Celebrating the company’s mountainous environment, simple vector graphics evoke ridgelines throughout the wrapper design while bold colors visually reference flavor. The box design capitalizes on the sense of remoteness and exploration common in mountain sports by continuing the ridgeline graphics and incorporating a compass as the focal point.
