Having grown up in the Wasatch Mountains, I never had any other option: crank out the work or no skiing. Period. This attitude shaped my upbringing and led me to strike a balance between the outdoors and my career without compromising or falling short on either.
In recent years, I’ve manifested this energy on both sides of the spectrum. I've honed my design skills on numerous freelance projects all while living out of a school bus guiding whitewater in Montana. I did the 9-5 grind at Nike as a full-time designer and summited Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, and St. Helens all the while. I returned to my SLC roots while working for a scrappy Jackson, WY startup that never held a dull moment.
Nowadays, you’ll catch me lapping Alta Ski Area most afternoons but I’ll still be there Monday morning to hash out the branding strategy for a client’s new business.
Life’s short, let’s make it happen.
